Srđan Šuput

Director of the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska

Srđan Šuput was born on 15 May 1977 in Banja Luka. He earned the title of graduate economist in 2000 at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, Department Novi Sad, and the title of Master of Economic Science in 2014 in Banja Luka. He received his doctorate in 2018 in Banja Luka. He was among the first in Republika Srpska to receive the title of broker and investment manager, which helped him to successfully manage several investment funds and a brokerage firm.

He started his working career in 2001 at the Central Bank of BiH, Main Unit of Republika Srpska, and in 2002 he participated in the founding of the Banja Luka Stock Exchange a.d. Banja Luka, where he held the position of Deputy Director. In 2004, his career in the banking industry starts at Nova Banjalučka banka a.d. Banja Luka where he held several managerial positions. He held the position of a member of the Management Board of Nova Banjalučka banka a.d. until 2006, when he left to become the Director of Komercijalna banka a.d. Banja Luka which was under establishment, and where he remained the Director until 2016. The same year, he was elected as the Director of Wiener Insurance VIG a.d. Banja Luka and left that position in 2020. Since December 2021, he has been performing the function of the Acting Deputy Director of the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska, where in July 2022, by the Decision of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, he was elected as the Director for a term of 5 years.

Throughout his career, he was a member of the Management Board of Insurance Agency of Republic of Srpska, a member of the Management Board of the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska, as well as a member in other legal entities and sports organizations.

In addition to his professional involvement at the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska, he is also engaged in an academic vocation, as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics at the Nezavisni univerzitet Banja Luka.

He is married, father of three sons and two daughters.

Srđan Travar

Deputy Director of the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska

Srđan Travar was born on 2 April 1982 in Livno. He completed primary and secondary school in Prijedor and earned the title of graduate economist in 2006 in Novi Sad upon completion of his basic studies. He has extensive professional experience, with sixteen years of work in banking, ten of which in various managerial positions within several banks operating in the territory of Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the course of his rich work experience, he continuously improved his professional skills, participating in numerous seminars, professional training courses, educational workshops and similar.

He started his career in 2006 at HVB Central Profit Bank, Sarajevo, where he gained significant experience in understanding the way the banking market functions. Later, he continued to build his career at UniCredit Bank, Mostar and Sparkasse Bank, Sarajevo where he held the positions of regional manager in charge of the operations of those banks in the retail and corporate sector, after which he moved to Addiko Bank, Banja Luka, where he held the position of the Director of the Directorate for operations with corporate.

In July 2022, he was appointed the Deputy Director of the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska by the Decision of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska for a term of five years, with the aim of continuing to work on improving the stability of the banking system of Republika Srpska, and its safe, high-quality, and legal operations.

He is married, father of two children.
